Center For Advanced Molecular Imaging

Training

CAMI supports both full-service and independent-use imaging projects.  We are happy to train users for independent use of instruments in the facility – just contact Chad, Alex or Keith to set up training.

The number and length of training sessions required will vary by instrument, as some of our instruments are significantly more complex than others.  In general, training for the IVIS Spectrum can be completed in about 2 hours, with an additional training session required before in vivo imaging.  Training to use the MRI systems depends on the project and the user’s previous experience, but will generally require 3-4 two hour sessions.

Users will be required to demonstrate technical competency before being authorized to operate an instrument independently.
