7T MRI

The 7T Bruker PharmaScan MRI system (16 cm bore) is designed for high throughput experiments for imaging anatomy and basic function.  Its gradient set has a 9 cm bore suitable for imaging mice and rats, and a strength of 120 mT/m.  Four receive channels enable parallel imaging.

RF coils available for this system include:

Volume coils

• 23 mm ID, designed for mouse brain
• 38 mm ID, designed for rat head and mouse body
• 60 mm ID, designed for rat body

Surface coils (all 4 channel phased array receive only; used with 72 mm ID transmit only volume coil)

• Mouse brain
• Rat brain

All coils for this system are fixed tune and match.
